How to install new and fresh Ubuntu operating system
1.First select your hardware articture of your computer:-
- Supported Architectures (x86 x64)
- Ubuntu-Certified Hardware (some time in Laptop only)
- System Requirements (Hard Disk and RAM)
2.Insert bootable USB or DVD in to your computer for standard installation:-
- Using a DVD,
- Using a USB drive,
- And Change Bios setting and set First boot DVD OR Removal Disk.
- Press F6 while booting your system for some other option.
3.Prepare to install Ubuntu:-
You should also make sure you have enough space on your computer to...
- Install Ubuntu and create partition (swap space),
- Install this third-party software now (check),
4.Select computer drive space and installation type (select something else):-
Use the checkboxes to choose whether you’d like to Install Ubuntu...
- Alongside another operating system,
- Delete your existing operating system,
- And replace it with Ubuntu, OR
- Choose the "Something else" option (If you are an advanced user or install Fresh Installation),
- (SWAP) -it's highly recommended that the swap space should be equal to the amount of physical memory (RAM),
- ( / ) -the root partition contains by default all your system files, program settings and documents,
- (/boot) -Some computers can't see boot files (/boot) if located far (>100GB) from the start of the disk. This is why it is sometimes necessary to create a separate /boot partition at the start of the disk. Remark: don't use the same /boot for several Linux distributions, as it may mix up their Kernels.
6.Begin the installation:-
Ubuntu needs about 4.5 GB to install, so add a few extra GB to allow for your files...
7.Select your Location:-
If you are connected to the internet, this should be done automatically.
- Check your location is correct and click ’Forward’ to proceed.
- If you’re unsure of your time zone, type the name of the town you are in or click on the map and ubuntu will help you find your location.
8.Select your preferred keyboard layout (Use Default US):-
- Click on the language option you need.
- If you are not sure, click the ’Detect Keyboard Layout’ button for help.
9.Enter your login and password details or computer name and root (administrator) password
